Chris worked for many years for Quattro Design Architects and has only recently
set up his own practice, hence a good many examples of previous work are from Chris'
CV.
Chris is a Conservation Architect and is also passionate about sustainability, but
if asked to characterise his approach to architecture it would be about being Responsive.
Responsiveness is about listening and understanding the needs of the client as the
key priority. It is then about delivering solutions in simple, understandable ways
that clarify the client's needs and make clear what options are available. It is
about delivering solutions within an agreed time-scale. It is about working within
budget constraints.
Design is important but architects need to be able to offer a range of solutions
in response to the client's needs, rather than trying to impose a solution.
